Well i for one would love to own a 1GHz 8051 but i am afraid more for novelty purposes than anything else. My comments regarding multiple instruction execution has no relation to DSP other than that's the platform where i learn to admire the technique. Multiple instruction execution is just one way to achieve higher execution rate at lower clock freq. which helps perform EMI reduction. Based upon 8051 history i believe you will get you wish regarding increased prgm/data memory capacity. As to clock multipliers these are EMI dangerous unless your periphs are internal. regards, p |
