Serious IIC is always done with '51 with built in IIC controllers such as the P89C66x series. The only 'bit bang' USB I know of as commonly used is to drive a small EEPROM. Anyone in his/her right mind will use one of the canned IIC solutions (e.g. Philips offer several, both "c" and assembler) and should thus not need to simulate.
