Digital displays are not generally good for car dashboard displays - especially for info which needs to be assimilated quickly by the driver; eg, speed.

In a car, the driver needs to concentrate on the road, so you want displays which can be read in a glance.

I dunno if there may be any specific legal requirements in particular territories?
