#23277 - RE: different compilers, (keil & Raisonance) |
hi andy,
The thing is i was working on Franklin compiler until now(most of the 8051/52 guys think it is outdated or so). I had no problems in compiling and debugging it as it was quite simple and straight forward. but when i tried to compile with raisoance (file1.a51) file its compiling with some help from bryan. but when i was debugging the same assembly file and open the code(disassembly window) its not showing the file which i compiled its showing some junk code. I was trying to do step by step debugging..There is nothing wrong with the assembly code. (for assembly programming) While with Keil when i tried to debug it gives the following messages when compiled: target has no object modules, target not created.. and my debugger doesn't even start.. I worked with the demonstration versions on C as expalined in the Keil and raisonance manual and i was able to run simple programs. The problem comes only with the assembly files as i couldn't find steps for compiling, linking and debugging for an assembly program..(in Raisonance or Keil) am i missing something???? any help in this matter please thanks, sundeep |
