Most of the people here work with different compilers. Sometimes they work with more than one compiler. I was wondering why there wasn't any page related to different compilers on 8051 which covers the following basic topics..(i may be mistaken if there was one)
it will be great even if anyone can send the link to such a thread if it exists.

1. How to compile the assembly and C files and so on.
2. how to run an assembly file, how to run a C file.
3. basic precautions to be taken when compiling and running files on different compilers...

if these can be addressed under different compilers( if it can atleast cover Keil and Raisonance) it will be great..

the other day when i posted the message "RE: help on Franklin compiler, raisonance" Bryan Whitton reply was really helpful in correcting my errors. Thanks Bryan.
