#24301 - RE: noise |
hi,
i certainly agree with erik on the efficiency of the 555 as a supervisory ckt (the design was not intended to be one ) however due to constraints of such chips(MAX 690)not being available at my end i had to come up with some method. i would like to point out that the circuit functions efficiently for the Programmable and simple counters/timers that i designed not so long ago. the AC motor is a 3-phase capacitative start one.however i am using a single phase to drive this motor (not exactly efficient but the job gets done .may i add that i am in the testing phase) Also just about last night i noticed that the motor start/stop affected the FM transmission i was receiving i then hooked up my scope to check for abnormal waveforms /spikes in the supply voltage (5V) i noticed that every time the motor started there was a sharp spike in the supply i then disconnected the Euro connectors going to the PCB(thus diconnecting the supply and the signals going to it)and then checked again at the pins of the controller the spikes were still present ,i held the probes of my scope near the motor and was shocked to find that the interference was picked up by the probe. i suspect this is due to radiation can you speculate on the issue and the remedy. . |
