#26577 - RE: How to connect a single LED |
Hi IJAZ,
first of all I wanted to connect 8 LEDs to 8 pins of Port 1. This is because, I assembled a tiny circuit with an ADC and the uC. The ADC is scanned every 1 sec and the value is sent to PORT 1 of the uC. I want to read that value as simply as possible,So I wanted to use LEDs there. Now, I connected the positive of the LED to the port Pin and the negative to Gnd of the circuit (assembled on a bread-board). Do I need a resistor because P1 has strong Internal Pull-ups (as described in the Datasheet)? Ofcourse, Id change the LEDs and use 3v LEDs because 1.5v LEDs would still glow even if a 0 is written to the pin. -Sriharsha. |
