Hi Andy,
I meant the code is ugly in regard to the repetitive calls.Sorry,could have made that clearer - as you say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.I'll work on using the null byte to form a loop as soon as I engage my brain later this morning.
As for 'pretty ' - in this context at least I define it as short and concise.Probably not best to step outside this context to define what else I think is pretty.Although my new Phytec development kit is 'pretty' neat.
