Hi Andy,
sounds like you have some disdain for hyperterminal.Since I am a rank amateur novice in the programming field what do you recommend using as a terminal emulator?Hyperterminal is available easily and 'free' on my PC at least that's one advantage.
Thanks for all the replies to the original question.I am beginning to realize that programming is like learning a foreign
language.You can learn the rudiments and read example programs ok but the real learning really starts when you have to write your own programs.Guess I need to go and practice a lot more.
