 		 #28437 - Using 5V controller and IC's at 6V VCC
I am using 8051 in my projects. I am using other devices such as 8279, 8255, 27c512 and other logic Ic's such as 7404,74373 all operating on 5V dc. I have to operate the entire board with battery. Can I use the 6V battery directly to drive the board. The voltage of the VCC will thus vary from 5.3 to 6.3V. What is the maximum voltage that can be given to drive the 5V logic IC's
