#31010 - Isolating faulty RS-485 device |
Hello friends,
Although this is not 8052 related, but I feel it might help everybody. I am still considering myself a novice in the RS-485 world, although I have done some projects using them. Most of them are of experimental nature. In a real world application, how does a faulty device is isolated so that it will free the bus? The fault could be (but not limited to) say a short circuit of the output driver. What are the precautions / protections to take while implementing a large RS-485 based network? Leo Paul |
