#31038 - RE: Isolating faulty RS-485 device |
The best way to do is, to implement a watchdog on the transceiver channel.
When sending information on the bus, you must trigger the watchdog. Whenever the devices fails, the bus is always released for further use. This prevents a bus HANGUP by a device. Can be easily implemented, and very low cost. |
