I would recommd you one of the Atmel ISP-Parts (AT89c53 or AT89C8252). There are some ISP-Programmers available, which is in fact only a simple parallel port cable for the PC and some free software (for linux, windows and mac).
So you only need the controller, the cable and some sort of breadboard. All this stuff cost less than 25 dollar! I have started with the same parts this year and it was a good choice not to buy an expensive development board (70$ and above) because it is really not necessary! |
