One of the main reasons why I always buy a big name compiler ,rather than one of the open source free ones is compiler induced bugs.
If someone finds a fault, the compiler vendor will usually fix it,And usually quickly. If you found a major bug with SDCC ,who's gonna fix it ,and how long will they take(or do you do it yourself?. using project time). I cant think of anything worse than spending days frustrated on none working code (that should work)only to find the faults in the compiler. |
