Again!

I use both, and which depends on the job in hand, for very simple controllers i'll use the Pic as has aready been pointed out a good free C compiler exists (for the 16F84) and this makes for a quick easy solution to small projects.

However I also use 8032 with ST's PSD 800/900 devices as this makes a quick small very configurable prototyping system (and cheap), and now you can get them both in a single package. With these two units I can easily impement jsut about any project I need to do.

BTW that's forgetting the Motorola Coldfire lurking in the background as well.
