Any debate that gets bogged down in the 'is this chip *better* than that is likely to become very sterile, very quickly. The best choice for a job depends on many factors, some of which are not the obvious 'best chip' ones.

PIC's and 805x's are both great tools, the choice should be made without prejudice for each project. That's why I have little patience with the kind of partisanship displayed by Jurgen.
