#35652 - RE: Cygnal EC2 -Do's and Dont's
I realise this is not very helpful, but I've been using Cygnal's EC since august 2000 and never fried it (nor cooked, roasted, boiled, baked, you get the point :o) ). Never took any special precautions except to protect the device itself, i.e. pull-ups on the JTAG inputs. Perhaps those on the forum currently expressing their grief over expired ECs did do the bleedin' obvious...

One thing is that the Cygnal devices seem to be sensitive to latch-up due to negative voltages on their inputs, but then again, so is every CMOS device.
