On the subject of fried ECs, it seems that the posts on the Cygnal forum are related to using the C2 interface and the fact that one of the pins used for it doubles as analogue input. Besides, there haven't been that many complaints and there's always a chance that some failures will occur (it's electronics, after all!). With a growing number of users it becomes almost inevitable. I will start worrying when more than say 10 posters per month say their EC is no more.
