#35758 - RE: competition rules and prize |
In all humbleness nothing is quite good enough. I never considered it a contest. Besides the first submission was too much like that of Pranav's to be considered original. I was just trying to fix the masking problem........Then I realized that the original intent was that it be possible to re-assign the outputs versus the inputs to suit the needs of Mr Oliver Clinton. As I stated before the ideas that were being floated had completly ignored his desire by forcing both ports to use the same 8 byte look up table........That led me to say "lets find a different way to code it and answer the desire to have the ability to reassign the input coding to output pin selection......thus the second submission was born.
In final I have to thank Steve Taylor for making the whole contest suggestion in the first place. It has led to a very long thread here at www.8052.com that I think is VERY informative and interesting. THIS IS THE KIND OF THING THIS FORUM IS ALL ABOUT!! Valuable information for all who program these beasts called 8052's. Michael Karas |
