Apparently Dallas were unable to achieve a 50MHz clock as they announced in the preliminary information on the D89C420, they only managed 33MHz. This is however with a core that takes just one clock cycle for most instructions.

I have heard that the part will run at 50MHz but how reliably is anyone's guess.
