#38346 - RE: it works !
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I will add my code for IAP in my website. I would also add your two documents describing this and I would name the author, i.e. you !
Would you agree ?

I would never put anything on the web that I had a problem with seing copied elsewhere. Just one small request: If you change the text, drop my name.
Just a question on Watchdog : this is a 14 bit register which is incremented every clock cycle.
Not clock cycle, machine cycle (clock /6 or /12)
If yes, how is it usually reloaded ?
by the write of E1 and 1E
As I'm using a real time sequencer, the minimum sequence is 10ms. Not useful in this case !absolutely it is, you just have to kick the dog inside the slices, which would be the right thing to do anyhow. A personal note: I would like to see that counter to be more bits too, however, living with it does force you to think AARGH.
Do you use a timer interrupt to reload the watchdog ?
No, that would defeat the purpose, a timer interrupt can still tick even if the program is astray.
