#38396 - RE: To Erik : NoTouch
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I've now implemented the code to boot with a sequence on the serial port and also an emergency boot when a pin port is held to ground. It's better but sometimes, when programming, FlashMagic return an error message. Then, the microcontroller doesn't want to enter in normal mode (so my code isn't executed) and the only way to recover is to use the ISP function again.

As this useful ISP function is regulary not working due to the bootvector lost(always after a failure in programming), I've to say that I'm a litlle affraid. What will be the solution if I'm using some soldered chips in field application and that I can't recover the ISP feature ? That's why I have to investigate a little more to be sure or not if I can use these chips for industrial applications.
Note that since I've implemented the IAP code, I've not crashed any chip, but I4ve to continue and check.

John, note that I'm using FlashMagic with Windows XP. I had a lot of problems due to a bug in FlashMagic concerning COM ports at the beginning, but since Andrew Ayre has corrected and publied an updated version (v1.65), it's working correctly... I believe...well maybe my problems comes from there. Good way to investigate !
