The problem is that I'm crashing too many bootvectors. 3 since 2 hours ! This is really a problem that Philips allowed to put this bootvector in flash. It's not possible to work in these conditions. And It will not allows from myself to use this chip for industrial applications. The reliability isn't acceptable. Bouh, I'm irritated

Stephane,
I think there is something wrong with your method of attempting to use these devices.
One of my customers has already used around 100Nos of P89C51RD2 in an UPS environment where you can expect a lot of noise.Though I am using a AD1232. I think the Philips devices are reliable.

While developing this I was facing the same problem you are now facing, I was able to carry on since I have a parrellel programmer.

The problem got solved after I implemented Flash Magic's serial hardware circuit with minor changes, but Flash Magic did not work with my PC system ( I have win XP installed), but Philips ISP works beutifully with the Flash Magic's hardware circuit, I have not lost a single device (except for one where I stupidly zeroed the boot vector and I have soldered the PLCC directly to the PCB).I have earased and downloaded more than a hundred times!! through the ISP using this method.

I will to confess I have not used a 89C668 yet.

Regards,
John.
