#40646 - RE: One serious problem with this. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi,
That's all possible, controlling the clock from PC comm. just a matter of a day or so. But, one thing, I am afraid, we are all missing to ponder upon. The baud setting will screw his clock accuracy drastically. If he is using 12 MHz with his clock micro, then may be (I can't say off hand) he is within the acceptable % error for 9600 baud. Or if he is using some "Odd" frequency then you know by changing the crystal at this juncture (mainly when he has said that his clock is working fine) would raise a hell for him. Waqar, you better re-calculate all your timing delay routines with 11.0592MHz for 100% accurate 9600 baud. What you want to do is defenitely possible and surprisingly easy too. Regards Babar |
