#41381 - Split timer mode (mode3) |
Hi all!
I am very new user of AT89S8252, never used these little miracles before, and after three days my head is full of questions, I am really excited! I started to get familiar with this mcu becouse I need to give more time for my PC, I/O takes too much time, Windows environment takes all it got and prosess is too slow. Ok, after these few days, I find a good use for it in my car (again, PC needs more time elsewhere). Here is the question. I need to have exactly three interrupts per second, that is not a problem, it was an easy task with one counter, but... one counter is needed to count outside events (0-10ms) and after that I still need to count two independent pulses, frequency from 0 to 200 per 1/3 second. Can I use split mode counter for these two source, 8-bits should do fine? Example: Counter0: Gives 15 interrupts/sec (easy to count 1 out from every fifth) Counter1: Split mode for two 8-bit countings???? Counter2: For 1 time measurement purpose, used by triggering from input pin. I tried to find something to help, but as a rookie,I don't know yet where to look. This forum seems to be a great place, what I seen so far. Thank you guys and girl, and greetings from Finland, spring is coming, I am happy! Kari |
