#41404 - RE: Split timer mode (mode3) Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thank you all for your kind answers, but, well, my little friends, seems like nobody really understand what I was asking, everybody wants to give an answer but to a wrong question.
I read through the tutorial and there it was explained very shortly, mode 3 exists, but how it counts, is it possible to trig separately each of those 8 b-bit counters? Tutorial explains, if we split Timer0, how it is tied to Timer1. That is ok. But, how to use them? Is it only a timer, can it even be used as a counter? How to trig? I could make a polling routine for input pins, but I want it to increase whenever pulse comes. That prosessor will have enough things to do while counters are counting. And one more little thing is that I am using now AT89S8252, so please, don't ask me to use same derivate prosessor instead. At this moment I have to get into this with the hardware I already have. Btw, does anybody here want to change thoughts about car/motorcycle/bicycle-computing? I find one thread already, but it was out of real things, just arguments without having fun or real usefull data. Thank you all for beeing here and have a nice day. Kari |
