I am very grateful to u experts of 8052.com
who r doing a great job.

I m marine engineer and in the ship's automation lots of MCUs and PLCs r used.

I m curious to learn these and do experiments with. I bought the Microcontroller Idea BOOK to start with the Basic. As per your suggestion I gave up the Basic-52.

I just want to learn the microcontrollers and use RS232 interface to communicate with the real world applications by adding the I/O ports.

As per the book uC involve sensing controlling of conditions, events or devices external to the basic ckt.

For example water control might have these responsibilities:

Detect the low water level
Start the Water Pump
Detect the High level
Stop the water Pump

I may be wrong please help me
