It is frequently stated in this forum that additionl com port can be added:
1) external UART
2) soft UART
3) additional MCU
I've chousen the third approach. Now I need a protocol for the MCUs to talk to each other. Alan Chens looks suitable for that. But it requires 5 additional lines to that of 8 bits of data bus. I'm exprcting something where each MCU has a line to interrupt its neibhor, the neibhor would ack (using its symmetrical interrupt line). The master would start R/W operation.
