Sigh.

Oh I know all about the problems. I know even the link, I searched for the perfect controler for that.

This is mainly more of a challenge thing than having extra floppy drives. I always read that the problems with the diffrent floppy formats had to do with the controler rather than the drive itself. And eveything I have read says that its a 5 volt interface.

I just really want something to play with. I have a compact flash and it was childs play to connect that up (though figuring out how to read the upper part of the data was a bit harder) I just want something that is an eveyday object that I can really learn and practice.

What better way than to read the timing off a floppy!

Also, Did you know some types of LS120 drives can format a NORMAL floppy to hold 32megs? I just got to see how that works:)
