thanks to all for giving me such a piece of advice....

1) Firstly this is not at all an academic project netheir a commerical one ,its just my passion.. i have designed the hardware by taking a reference hardware which is already present in market but you guys tell me lets suppose if one of you have to design a PBX and have no one to support you how you move on you need some assistance and that assistance is not saying that use "STATE MACHINE" , what the hell... like by just saying that use State Machine the problem is solved ..? no one is designing any thing for me...iam doing every step by my self by taking help from internet forums...

2) If this project works it means only self satisfaction nothing else..no selling no home work...that's why i have selected a Hardware which is present in Market..i did reverse engineering, find out datasheets of the components used in that hardware, spent several hours learning how the components are gel together..and after drawing the Schematic in Orcad i found the ways how that hardware works and so after understanding it completely and understanding how High and Lows are occuring i made up my mind to first write software for this and then deisgn my own...that's why you people have seen in my post that i have written that my hardware works .

3) How come all of you say that waqar does not listen to others suggestions... what suggestions...like if aim asking how to detect pulse dialing then in reply you say that its a hard task and for this use STATE MACHINE.... That's alll like you mean to say that by just saying that time sharing or state machine is enough to make some one understand Pulse Dialing ...or by saying that use Morse Code...that's all...

4) In Jan 2003 i did not know what the hell is 8051 or controller.. i started learning by using a book and this forum ...and only coz of this forum i was able to learn controller to some extend then i made my own clock firstly by looping and then by intrepputs, then i made binary to BCD and then on 7 segment display device...only coz of this forum....now i can bet that this pulse dialing and multi-tasking is not a easy task ..if it is then many of you may have placed sample codes as you alway do...

5) Just think for a moment and tell me this is this easy to make software for detecting pulse dialing...?

Guys don't do this...iam not spoiling this forum ....just see who is... i ask a question instead of replying you people say use State Machine concept ...how can this help...

And what is this :- i simply ask question about pulse dialing most of you say firstly waqar tell us about your hardware ...its a software discussion forum... i simple ask that how to calculate the incoming pulses ..that's it...

Now please just forget the past and think me as a new Guy who needs to know how this pulse dialing works in case of software...

really iam not looking for coding... i need just few hints not written as code , but written in steps, i will implement it , if i don't prove my self then never reply again..i am using Pulse Dialing Kep Pad not the rotary one.

Consider only one Telephone Set at this stage iam not asking you to tell how to make such a software so that at the same time all users can do pulse dialing...

Consider just one telephone set..which can dial 12,13,14,15,16,17,18 and when ever the digits are dialed specific task is performed...that's it....

Give me some exercise ..like tell me that waqar you have to use two timers one for make and other for break ratio etc.. or waqar use CJNE command and monitor the bit which is receiving pulses and then increment in a register...
