The scopes use large gate array to store data digitized data into a high speed memory in the device. Then upon transfer to PC the memory is read out at a speed sustainable by the PC and the attendant host software. I have one of the Agilent 34 channel PC based logic analyzers and it works the same way.
BTW I love the Agilent LogicWave analyzer. Anybody want info about that? Michael Karas |
