And certain evaluation boards let you easily use high density microcontrollers and still permit you to easily build prototypes of the custom circuits that you wish to add. I discuss this high density prototyping in a article on my 8052.com home page. Look for article titled Prototyping With High Integration 8051 Parts.
Here is a picture of another prototye built this way. This one adds a compact flash card socket and 64K of SRAM to a Cygnal C8051F020 eval card via the 96-pin DIN conector. ![]() Michael Karas |
