may be not,

suppose i'm using a 31 with rom and ram, rom has a monitor and receives and loads program via serial port. i also have some data in the ram which i access by using movx instruction. what is this a newman architecture. no not at all, the external memory space is intended to expand the program memory if required. but they facilitate so that you can access program memory. its up to you how you use it. for data or for code.
