if you dip a heated rod in gasoline what happens. thats the principle used in karosine stoves. fuel is passed through a redhot pipe heated by fuel itself, fule gets evoporated and comes out from a nosal HERE it gets the FLASH and burns.

let us look at cumbution chemistry. fuel vapour mixed with the air has both fuel and the oxidizer. if this is heated reaction begins and water,co/co2 + energy is produces. at the temprature this reaction begins is very high so (its over 600-700 degree or more. there is no threat mr. lee cross.

another way the reaction begins is by ignitng it. ignition means to bring a spark or flame in contact with this mixture, this flame/spark has very high temprature in it span. this will start the reaction in a small area, this small area heated more by cumbustion energy of fuel suct that the reaction area expands, this is a chain reaction. here is the main threat. potting will isolate the gases from the switchin circuitury so that even though it is heated to very high temprature, gases wont explode.
