Well the only reason I suspected the delay code was this: My original delay routine:

LONG_DELAY:
mov r5, #00h
TIME:
mov r4, #00h
WASTE:
djnz r4, WASTE
djnz r5, TIME
ret

When I removed the three lines that are indented above, the program would proceed to the next step. I also have no interrupts in the routine that I am running. Are all of you as baffled as I am ? ;)
