I have been approached by a friend of mine who is interested in developing a navigational aid using GPS and would like to have a colour LCD module as the user interface. The size of display that he is looking for is around 150mm diagonal.

I have no clue on this and a Google search brought up sites like Optrex. But there again no detailed data sheets were available - or maybe I did not search enough. Looks like there is a lot to learn in these ..

Could someone, who has worked on color GLCD's give some hints on using these and also provide some links to typical datasheets ? And hopefully driving these modules are within the capabilities of the 8052 ?
