We looked at the Geode recently, and were dismayed to find that National had basically orphaned it, no new development on it, so now we're looking at SiS 55x.

I did hear a rumor recently that AMD had purchased rights to the Geode, so maybe it's still alive after all.

I would assume if you're using the horsepower of a Geode-class chip, that you'll be using Linux on top of it?
