Perhaps you should give coding the jpeg decoder a try. Given your 600x480 resolution, I'm suspecting an 8051 will not be up to the task. You're talking about a large amount of data (by 8051 standards anyway) and the jpeg decoding algorithm is fairly complex. Have you looked at the jpeg file formats? See links to them at http://www.wotsit.org/search.asp?page=5&s=graphics There is open source code available for handling jpegs, for example the jpeg library (encode and decode functions) at http://freshmeat.net/projects/...=105%2C809 I guess I'm concerned that the 8051 might not be able to handle jpeg decoding, graphics output and all.
