#5333 - RE: Current to Volts and A/D |
I have some experience with PIC programming, and I´ve programmed 16 bit RISC micros. Although I´ve been working for about 3 months with 8051, I should tell that I love´em a lot. No banking, only if you use more than 8 registers. And PLENTY of internal memory to program, compared to PIC. I must addmit that PIC has a more powerful instruction set because it´s RISC. But, to be honest, I preffer to forget about PIC, compared to 8051. And if you compare the price between devices with the same capabilities . . .It´s to much only for RISC programming. I didn´t meant to start a discussion here, but, in my opinion, RISC is powerful, but at powerful enviroments like Sparc and Mips. At embeeded control, PIC is far away from MCS51.
And Rauf, I suggest to use Intersil CA family, or an ADC0808, easy to find. |
