If Leo just wants to read bar codes, perhaps he could get one of the Cue Cats that were being given away a couple of years ago, and read its output. There has been quite a bit of work done on these readers by folks not in league with Digital Convergence. See http://www.cexx.org/cuecat.htm and http://www.fluent-access.com/wtpapers/...t/cue.html among others. The latter has some good barcode info and other links. I guess what's really important is what does Leo *really* want to do? Dennis |
