#54880 - File system for mass storage device |
Hello,
I'm trying to store very large amount of data (~20 MB) on a 8051 based data logger. In order to do this I'm trying to use flash based mass storage device like Disc-On-Chip (M-systems), ATA interface flash drive (SST, 58 series) or commercial flash cards like MMC/SD card. The Disc-On-Chip drivers which I obtained from M-System are not portable to 8051 platform (VERY large ROM requirement, tons of function pointers calling using long argument list - not supported by Keil C51 need to be rewritten) The ATA interface flash disk seems to be the next best choice. SST supply simple ATA low level driver for 8051 but I still need the upper file system (FAT ?) level to support file functionality like DOS's fopen, fwrite etc. Does anyone is familiar with such SW product ? Any other reccomendation regarding this issue will be highly appreciated. Tahnks, Eyal |
