#54897 - RE: Take a look at the Sandisk site
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The code samples at the SanDisk OEM page DO NOT PROVIDE higher level FAT file system support.

I have looked extensively for just what Eyal is trying to locate. The closest code that I have found is the code that can be had at the FREEDOS or FREEDOS32 web sites.

I have started work on a COMPACT FLASH FILE subsystem design. I have it working on a Cygnal C8051F020 processor up to the LBA sector level. That part was actually simple to get working. I will be adapting the code from FREEDOS/32 at a future time. This is a sizeable task as the free code model is all code designed for where there is lots of RAM for a normal type stack.....which you do not get with a Keil C51 implementation where there but 256 bytes of RAM.

The task can be done but I estimate a code footprint of 24K to 35K bytes.

If anyone else has ported the FREEDOS/32 code already or has arrived at another solution I would like to hear from you.

Michael Karas
