#5592 - RE: $8,051,000,000,000,000,000.00 |
Rauf,
Wasn't I right to invite Jay to deliver a lecture. Isn't it a good learning one for bussiness techniques. yes indeed it is. I once had followed Jay's advice on whether or not to accept an offer of one third of what I demanded for my software. Jay had advised me not to follow the client, rather let him come back and if he doesn't its O.K. I should keep on selling my software in batches by burning it in the lot of micros. I did it and within 03 months I have earned what I was offered and the software is still mine. Now if I reduce my demand and keeping in view the market the same client would now buy it. Without Jay's advice I was going to sell my software in a haste which would have been a loss in long term. Thank you Jay. And one interesting thing that Jay has mentioned, "Steering the Client". Just say to you client, you must follow me or if you go that way you will meet a man eating Lion and soon you will be up his stomach.......hahahaha That works, I have convinced the clients even on projects which didn't at all need a micro programing. Being a Project Engineer in a multinational, I never advice to use email as firm and formal correspondence that would be no problem for the client to refuse to accept. Always use original signed surface mailed paper and faxes. Always get all pages of the contract initialed by the client. I would wait to know the specifics of your project. Babar/ |
