Thankyou for your inputs. Though I am in the business for many years and involved in contract designing and quotaiton, agreements, approval etc. but it was really nice to know much more details.

The reason why I asked the question is to gain confidence and to learn technics what experienced and successful people have adopted. This is the speciality of this forum that here every body is talking by comming upto same level so we get friendly and real practical advises, thanks Craig.

This was the first time for me to quote on electronic industrial project after a long break, so much water have been passed under the bridges, and things have changed dramatically fast. So it was considered wise to have experienced input on the subject.
