#58559 - RE: Bug in keil C51 ?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Stephane,

I don't think this is a bug, but one of the (unexpected) effects of a highly optimizing compiler.

Assuming that "BUSY" is not equal to 0x80, the first while effectively becomes while(0), which does nothing and is therefore not translated by the compiler.

This is typical of any modern compiler and your warning to "be careful" should be heeded by all who use one.

Regards,
Rob Klein.
