#58745 - RE: [OT} Cool clock project. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Michael, Steve, Andy and all,
The line based utility is much more accurate than a crystal oscillator. They correct their error to keep the clock accurate to less than a second a month. Michael, The Printed Circuit Board will actually be two boards. The LED's will on a board which is perpendicular to the main board. They will be points on it so that you can tap into it for you own needs. I will try to add a ribbon cable connector so that it can have easy access. Steve, I will add a schmitt trigger (74C14) to clean up the AC Square wave. The software will use the 4.0 megahertz oscillator to insure the clock advances in case the there is a power failure. A battery has been incorporated to keep the clock running during power failures. The software is will allow the user to change for 50/60 Hz. Regards, Charles Bannister |
