#58746 - RE: Crystal or mains timebase? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Mains frequency is synchronized with atomic clocks. So, theoretically deviation is zero. But at certain times a day mains net can be switched to different sources. Then, some 100msec can be lost...
Charles could try to implement in his code to switch time base from mains frequency to quartz oscillator, whenever deviation is bigger than +-200ppm. Then, very probably a dip of mains occurs and quartz oscillator time base should be prefered. This could minimize error. Kai |
