Really this Counter is to be used in companies with mass production like counting number of match boxes, bottels or anything like that so it will count events.
Sure i'll need a display and i was choosing between LCD and 7-Segment displays inorder to display the count at any moment. I was also think if it'll be possible to store the count at different intervals and display them when needed.Will this be suitable with 8051 MCU or it will be overload and there is another chip to do the same purpose but with low costs and easy build programmer.

I know that 8051/52 has 2/3 timers that can programmerd either as timer or counter depending on TMOD register and i know that it count events on T0 or T1 pin.I have good back ground of MCU's,by the way the events to be counted trigger the counter in low rates.
