Yeah, in my case there are TWO issues. Not only do I need to load switch the linear regulator, but there are other ICs that use the unregulated 9 volts that can be switched with this same mosfet. So regardless, I need the part anyway.

But I will keep you posted in my low-power battle. Mouser should deliver that fairchild part you suggested tomorrow.
