Thanks Kai, but I think if I mask the upper 5 bits as Oleg pointed out, I will get my random numbers from 1 to 8 with equal distribution without the need for division.
Here is my project:
I will be using 8 moving targets (flip open or close) for a shooting club, I need the targets to flip open at random from 1 to 8 so that the shooter gets better response time. i need to have a switch for 1 of 8 at random or 1 to 8 at random.
Very easy project especially when I have a guy who will do everything except the microcontroller part.
